Ameritech is committed to advancing equity and reform within the criminal justice system through community-centered initiatives that promote fairness, accountability, and second chances. Our Criminal Justice Initiatives are designed to address systemic issues such as over-policing, mass incarceration, and reentry barriers by working collaboratively with community partners, advocacy groups, and justice-impacted individuals. We believe that a just society is one where all people, regardless of background, are treated with dignity and have access to the support they need to thrive.

Our work includes restorative justice programming, youth diversion initiatives, and support services for individuals returning from incarceration. We provide mentorship, legal education workshops, job readiness training, and case management to help reduce recidivism and foster long-term stability. We also engage with local governments and institutions to advocate for policies that prioritize rehabilitation over punishment, especially in historically marginalized communities that have been disproportionately affected by criminal justice practices.
